Women's Networking Reception and Implicit Bias Against Women Workshop

  • May 04, 2017
  • 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Wiley Rein LLP 1776 K Street, NW Washington, D.C.

The existence of implicit biases in the workplace has been documented in various research.  Within this environment, the success of women attorneys often requires that they circumvent or overcome these biases. The Capital Area Muslim Bar Association (CAMBA) invites you to a women's networking reception and workshop specifically discussing how implicit bias affects women and ways to address it.  The workshop will be presented by Monica Parham, who is formerly the diversity counsel at Crowell & Moring LLP and past president of the Women's Bar Association of DC.  This workshop will help us recognize and address common forms of implicit biases faced by women.  The event is co-sponsored with the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of the Greater Washington, D.C. area, the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia, the South Asian Bar Association of Washington, D.C.
